So, the packing, cleaning and getting rid of all our junk is in full swing now. Ric, Claire and I head out this weekend on a house hunting trip. I'm looking forward to finally seeing for myself the place we'll be living in for the next couple of years! Andrew is staying home with his cousins and is very excited. I think he'll do great!
Ric starts the new job on the 17th and the kids and I will be there at the end of the month. So crazy realizing we only have a couple of weeks left here in our home. Over the past few weeks I have become so much more grateful for the life we have here. It has been such a blessing to live within 15 minutes from all our family. I will miss that the most. I tend to savor my driving through Aledo and seeing how beautiful the country scenery is. I MIGHT even miss the noisy train and barking dogs on Feed Lot Road. Okay, maybe not!
Very close to our house are some train tracks you have to cross over to get to our home. Every time we cross over the tracks Andrew says "home" because he knows we are almost there. For some reason it makes me sad when I hear him say that now. It makes me sad thinking that he won't know where "home" is for a while. I look forward to the day when he has a new land marker for "home".
Please pray for us over the next few weeks as we house hunt and get everything in order to head out. This should be quite the adventure!
Here is a verse the Lord has been impressing on my heart through this transition.
Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." I want that perfect peace in my life!

California Here We Come!
Never thought I'd be leaving the great state of Texas but sadly I must say we are. Ric works for an engineering company in Ft. Worth. He took a business trip to Palmdale, California about 2 weeks ago. While he was there he was offered a great job with the same company. We have put lots of thought and much prayer into the decision and believe that this job is where God is calling us for now.
My hope is that it's for a season and that we will be back here with all our family and friends in a couple of years. I feel as though I am grieving a loss of a loved one or something, haven't been this sad in a long time. At the same time, I know it will be a fun adventure and we will be forced to be completely dependent on God to provide friends, church, house, doctors, etc...
We will be leaving in about 4 or 5 weeks from now. Could use lots of prayer from here on out. I promised my sister I will get serious about blogging now! We plan on having a guest room and would love to have visitors come and stay! Here's to a new chapter!

Easter Pics
Now that Easter has come and gone, I'm finally uploading Easter pics. We had a great time hunting eggs at a friends house. On Sunday we went to church, had lunch with cousins and ended the day doing Resurrection Eggs with Andrew. It was a wonderful weekend!
